About Me

My photo
I am a family, portrait, wedding and lifestyle photographer. The process of making people comfortable with the camera is just as much of a passion for me as is capturing the moment. It is important to me to make the photo session experience a memorable one as well. I know it's a generic statement but I am passionate about life and the urgency to document the moments as they unfold. Take time to invest in the days of your lives. Call me--I can help! I've created a "book of days" gallery on my website: where I do that for my own life. Hopefully it showcases who I am as a person as well as as a photographer.

why don't people hire photographers to capture the simple moments in their lives?

there is power in everyday moments. staying power. historical power. timelessness.

we were at the park this week for a quick bike ride around the lake. history in the making.

i struggled with keeping up with the boys (as i was lugging my camera bag and lenses) but i knew it would be worth it. just a few simple shots to capture our history and an hour in the life of my family. so powerful.

i would welcome a family to contact me about 'a day in the life' photography where you just BE and i follow you around and capture it.

i'd love my business to move in this direction and i think clients will thank me. so often we are prepping for a family shoot where everyone is dressed up, the kids are bribed with candy or toys to behave and look at the camera and are not really capturing a real moment. or you and your family are enjoying a picnic together and you keep interrupting the moment to get out the point and shoot to capture the beauty of the day. imagine the possibility of everyone being in the photos without any interruption in this priceless magic?

my passion is capturing the simple moments and preserving them. and i'd love to do it for you!

Well said Mary Elizabeth!! One of my favorite sessions ever involved a sweet little girl just riding her scooter and playing with her hoola-hoop. It was so real. I hope lots and lots of families jump on board with you on this!!

I want a copy of the last picture with the boys together. Great posting and great photos, as always!
