About Me

My photo
I am a family, portrait, wedding and lifestyle photographer. The process of making people comfortable with the camera is just as much of a passion for me as is capturing the moment. It is important to me to make the photo session experience a memorable one as well. I know it's a generic statement but I am passionate about life and the urgency to document the moments as they unfold. Take time to invest in the days of your lives. Call me--I can help! I've created a "book of days" gallery on my website: www.mbgpics.com where I do that for my own life. Hopefully it showcases who I am as a person as well as as a photographer.

oozing with creativity...

today has been 'one of those days' where i feel like i just want to be creative, messy, crazy, silly. it's been raining all day and finally stopped. i grabbed the camera and my new lens and asked my oldest son to be my model. (the younger one is napping). i liked the color of the water-soaked fence in our yard.

here are some of the images thanks to my cooperative (although bribed by a fresh-baked cookie!) model.

i loved the contrast between my "model's" colors and the pattern on the fence. the cloudy sky offered the perfect diffused light. and now i have these great images to remember our dreary yet artistic day!

photography is such a passion for me. i can feel it's power all through my bones.

I like the expression on his face in the first photo.
The sepia tones on, I think the third one are really nice.
